About Andrea

I am a UKCP-registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist (attachment-based) and an Italian-trained dramatherapist. Before this, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Drama and have been working clinically with individuals and groups since 2013. Much of this has been in private practice, within the non-profit sector and with women in the criminal justice system. I also have experience working in the NHS as a perinatal psychotherapist, working with caregivers just before/after the birth of a baby. I currently work in primary care settings, private practice and I lecture part-time in areas of attachment, dramatherapy & psychoanalysis.

Way of Working

My way of working therapeutically is fundamentally 'relational', that is, based on the thinking that relationships play a crucial role in the shaping of our daily experiences. I work to help people understand patterns appearing in the thoughts and feelings they have toward themselves and others, in a safe and confidential space. Having a psychoanalytically informed view with an attachment focus,  I will help you to explore how the past might be influencing your life right now. I am committed to helping people better understand their emotional lives and be helped with their difficulties.
